Emperor Suzako, also known as Yutaakira was the sixty-first Emperor of Japan, being born on the 7 September 923 as the eleventh son of Emperor Daigo and Fujiwara no Onshi. Suzako's reign began on the 16 October 930 at the young age of eight, and lasted for a total of sixteen years, until he eventually abdicated on the 23 May 946. Following his retirement, he then became a Buddhist monk, unfortunately passing away not long after on the 6 September 952 at the age of thirty.
