Emperor Ojin, also known as Honda no Sumeramikoto, Otomowake no Mikoto or Homutawake no Mikoto, was the fifteenth Emperor of Japan, being born on January 5, 201 to Empress Jingu and Emperor Chuai. He fits into the "semi legendary Emperor" category, as historians believe he probably existed, but stories about his birth were likely exaggerated.
According to legend, he rose to power some time in 270 following the death of his mother. Ojin's reign lasted for a total of 40 years, eventually coming to an end following his death on the 31 March 310 at the old age of 109.
