Emperor Kosho, also known as Mimatsuhiko Kaeshine no Mikoto, was the fifth Emperor of Japan, being born in 507 BCE to Emperor Itoku. According to the Nihon shoki, it is stated that he rose to power in 475 BCE and proceeded to reign for another eighty-two years until his eventual death on the 5 September 393 BCE. However, his existence is heavily speculated by historians due to the fact that there is very little historical information written about him.
